We meet on the second Thursday of the month at 1.30pm in Reynoldston Methodist Chapel, opposite the Post Office. You don’t need to be an experienced knitter to join the group. Several of us have been taught how to knit or had our skills enhanced by the more expert members of the group.
You can bring your own projects or knit for a charity we support in Romania. Currently our knitted items and Christmas boxes are sent to Dorohoi, Romania via The Romanian Aid Foundation (RoAF), a charity which has an active Swansea branch. Dorohoi has been described as “the poorest town in the poorest county in the poorest region of Romania”. If the charity has spare cash, the RoAF sponsors children for holidays and was able to pay for a baby to have heart surgery this year.
They wrote to us recently to thank us for our support and they visit the group from time to time to outline the work they are doing.
New members always welcome to enjoy a chat, tea/coffee and delicious cake.
